“If you want get behind the wheel of this turbocharged beast, the S550 Shelby GT EcoBoost Mustang has a starting price of $23,995 which does not include the base price of the vehicle but that’s all part of the price you pay for the exclusivity and performance you get with a Shelby.”

$24k ON TOP of a $25k MSRP 2.3L Mustang for a dress-up kit and an overpriced aftermarket exhaust. Guess what Mustang costs less, has a V8, is also a Shelby, and runs circles around this overpriced riced Mustang?

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! If you want to be even more special and faster, then the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Shelby American, this is an embarrassment. You could use Carol’s casket as the engine from the rotational speeds his body is turning inside of it.

By the way, this is from someone that loves Mustangs so much, I tracked down and traded diecasts to get !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Yep, I can’t fathom why someone would do this over a GT350 or GT350R. Obviously the reason will be exclusivity, and some morons will pay for it. Oh well, it’s their money to waste.

Now try to actually buy one for $62K. Not saying you don’t have a point, just that the “market adjustment” for the GT350s will be dear.

I dunno if he would be turning in his grave. He’d have slapped his name on a flavor of doritos if they paid him to.

Based on all the stories I have heard about the man himself, Shelby would be down for this.

ATTENTION ENTHUSIATS

We need to send ford a message over this car. They need to sell 0 copies of it. No. There cannot be a single Shelby S550 sale. $50k for a basically stock 2.3 Ecoboost car is not even a tiny bit acceptable. If BMW can’t get away with that, what the hell makes you think you can, Ford???

NO 5.0, NO GO. FLAT PLANE OR NO GAIN.

Considering there’s only 25 or so GT350Rs and limited GT350s being built this year, they’re probably rarer! Shelby American non-GT350/GT500 cars are essentially the Beanie Babies of modern Mustangs, a lot of people bought them thinking they would be rare only to end up realizing that quite a lot of other people had the same plan and they’re not unique little snowflakes after all.

That’s true, but at least you’d be getting your money’s worth in performance even with a regular GT350 than that Ecoboost.

Trust me, if I had it I’d pay whatever it took to get the GT350. Even redundant organs would be on the table.

Potentially, but this is also the same guy who wanted to bump off the original Mustang’s reputation of a “secretary’s car” and did a lot of hilarious turbo shenanigans with the Dodge Omni. His cars have a lot of show, yes, but at least they had some go to back that up.

As I said, that casket in a S550 with the flywheel connected to Carol’s feet would provide a faster-accelerating Mustang than that Ecoboost. Hell, maybe he’s even entered Honda-stupid-fast revolutions per minute!

Not to mention his past record of project approvals, to include turbo four-cylinders.

I love Mustangs (am currently on my 5th). I love Shelbys. But the Shelby Ecoboost Mustang is just wrong. I object. I STRENUOUSLY object.

This grille is sooo bad. Like Bro-truck bad. I bet the designer drives to work in a lifted F-250 with a very similar grille.

Rediculous “market adjustment”. I was in a dealer yesterday glancing at a 2015 Mustang GT with the top package. The dealer marked up the car 10K just because.
